Sanger Sequencing
Sanger sequencing, named after its creator Frederick Sanger, is a powerful and precise method for unravelling the genetic code of an individual, and confirm variants identified with other sequencing techniques. Around 200-1000 nucleotides can be analysed per reaction using custom designed primers that anneal to each target DNA.
