About Transthyretin Amyloiodsis (ATTR)

Transthyretin Amyloidosis (ATTR), is a rare progressive disease caused by misfolded Transthyretin (TTR) protein deposits in tissues. Hereditary ATTR (hATTR) is inherited in an autosomal dominant manner, with symptoms typically starting in adulthood. Variants in the TTR gene cause amyloid build up, leading to tissue damage.
